The 7 Elite Academy tryouts are a chance for players to benefit from a lifelong curriculum that will serve them far beyond their time with the organization – that's the call from Chief Executive Wayne Scholes.

Youngsters have an opportunity to join the Academy at a series of trials next month, starting on May 13th in Southern Utah and running across other regions until May 31st.

Those tryouts will give young people a taste of a burgeoning soccer program that has so far seen over 1,000 players join the outfit since it started with one team just two years ago.

The Academy is led by the best coaches in Utah, complimented by a string of top international coaches, leadership and staff - and 7EA Chief Executive Wayne Scholes is determined to put that experience to good use next month.

He said: “We have always said that a youngster's time with 7 Elite Academy is hugely important, not just for their development as a player, but also as they grow as a person throughout their early and teenage years.

“That process doesn't end when they leave and enter the next stage of their careers, so we have developed a curriculum of learning that continues to help and advise them.

“Our coaching staff have worked with some of the world's top clubs, all of which put great emphasis on developing players away from the pitch. That is what we are replicating here.

“Former 7 Elite Academy players are always welcome at our games and training sessions. They are and always will be, part of our family.”

7 Elite Academy players benefit from a wide-ranging programme of events. The past year has seen 7EA stage a training camp with English Premier League star James Milner, alongside staff from EPL and La Liga clubs.

The Academy's main tournament in January, meanwhile, attracted over 100 teams from across the United States to Utah and is set to include international clubs from next year.

Scholes added: “I want to give every youngster at tryouts, whether they are new to us or returning, a chance to benefit from our incredible plans to create a professional environment for players and coaches.

“Our training sessions and matches are run along the lines of a top-flight soccer club and this philosophy is being expanded to include all aspects of player development away from the pitch.

“We have advanced plans to expand 7 Elite Academy internationally and this will offer further opportunities for player travel and training with professional clubs across the world.

“All of this helps to create a fantastic package for youngsters to benefit from when they join us.”

There is no charge for current 7 Elite Academy players to take part, while others will be charged $10 ($20 if paying on the day) which includes an exclusive tryout jersey.

Age brackets will range from under-9 to under-18, although there will also be sample training sessions for Pre-Academy players in the 2012-2015 birth years.

Players are encouraged to attend all days of tryouts for their location and age group.  To aid in an efficient check-in process at the try-outs, all players are encouraged to pre-register. On site same day registration is $20 dollars.
