7 Elite Academy East Africa President Reggie Wilson is determined to create a lasting legacy in the region and make Tanzania “the soccer giant it deserves to be”.

The new organisation was launched in the city of Dar Es Salaam last week, following lengthy talks with high-level Tanzanian government officials.

7 Elite Academy East Africa is backed by the world-renowned 7EA Global brand, which currently runs on three continents, with further expansion plans in the pipeline.

Staff from 7EA will work to develop the prospects of young players and coaches across the country, staging a wide range of coaching and educational courses.

Wilson, who will run the Academy in Tanzania on a day to day basis, said: “The launch of 7 Elite Academy East Africa has been life changing for me and I've never been more excited about anything that I have ever done in a professional capacity.

“Obviously, there is still a lot of work to be done, but the co-operation from everybody we've met has been absolutely fantastic.

“I am glad that we've been able to meet with Mr Yusuph Singu, the Tanzanian Director of Sports Development. He is helping us to get to know a lot of the important people, and I tell you what – this is only the beginning.

“We are more motivated than ever to to make Tanzania the soccer giant that it deserves to be.”

The move marks a further stage in the development of 7 Elite Academy on the global stage, following the announcement of a new 45-acre training camp in Southern Utah.

Alongside 7EA East Africa, the organization will soon reveal further permanent training locations in Europe, helping more young people to work with professional coaches.

Wilson added: “7EA East Africa is absolutely key to 7EA's global expansion plans. These plans will open doorways to offering even more incredible life experiences.

“7 Elite Academy is a strong, stable organization to work with. The young people who join us will be given every opportunity to enjoy a rich and life-long curriculum of learning, both on and off the pitch.

“I don't have the words to express how excited we are, and how grateful we are for the assistance we've received so far. Not only that, the techniques that we're bringing are going to help everybody who is interested in soccer.

“The people who come to cheer, the people who are playing, the companies who are investing in soccer currently, everybody is going to benefit.”
