7 Elite Academy Global Technical Director Anthony Godfrey has laid out his blueprint for long-term success in Tanzania and across East Africa.

The launch of 7EA East Africa has seen staff inundated with queries from football players keen to benefit from a strong line-up of professional coaching staff.

That line-up includes former Tanzanian international midfielder Amri Kiemba, as well as the vast coaching resources from 7EA's staff based across the world.

7 Elite Academy East Africa is backed by the world-renowned 7EA Global brand, which currently runs on three continents, with further expansion plans in the pipeline.

Godfrey, who was in Dar Es Salaam to launch the new academy last week, said: “We received such a warm welcome from people in Tanzania, who recognised that we're here for the long term.

“We are here to set a legacy for Tanzania. We have a fantastic coaching program and curriculum of learning that is not just for 7EA, but for all coaches and players in the region.

“We want people to come in and see us, check us out and get involved. The more people we work with, the better it will be for youth football in Tanzania and ultimately, the national team.

“It is our ambition to build on the strength of the Tanzanian league and have players from this country playing in the world's top leagues.”

Alongside 7EA East Africa, the organization will soon reveal further permanent training locations in Europe, helping more young people to work with professional coaches.

In the United States, 7 Elite Academy runs a thriving youth soccer program across Utah and has recently announced plans for a new 45-acre indoor and outdoor training base.

Godfrey added: “Our plans for 7 Elite Academy in East Africa mirror what we've done in America, where we have thousands of young people benefitting from a professional soccer set-up.

“We firmly believe this nation can compete every four years in the Africa Cup of Nations and then eventually at the World Cup. We will give all the support we can to make this possible.

“I think that what we're going to achieve with youngsters here in six to twelve months in going to be mesmerising for everyone involved.

“But I also think that what were going to achieve over the next ten years will be absolutely mind-blowing.”
