7 Elite Academy Head of Futures Jean Claude Gay will be on the look-out for players who can take full benefit from the organization's curriculum of learning at tryouts this month.

7EA is holding a series of trials for new and returning players throughout May, starting in Southern Utah and running at locations across the state until May 31st.

Those tryouts will be an opportunity for youngsters to experience 7EA's professional coaching and playing curriculum, which has been developed to mirror top-flight clubs in Europe.

Gay's position as Head of Futures Elite means he oversees the growth of older players as they prepare to move onto College soccer or the professional game.

And he is looking forward to giving more players than ever the chance to continue their development with 7 Elite Academy.

He said: “For me, the most important thing is to have players who want to learn every time they step onto the pitch and then extend that learning when they go home afterwards.

“If a young person is willing to work hard and have a strong mentality to succeed at every coaching and playing session, then they can become a very good player.

“A good player is very smart and has good technical, physical and tactical skills, but also works hard for the benefit of his or her team mates.

“Those are the kind of players I want to see at tryouts this month. Players who can fully benefit from our professional approach to the game, both on and off the pitch.”

Gay's experience of coaching and playing to a professional level in France has given him a key insight into how players are expected to develop as they embark on a career in soccer.

He will use that experience to continue equipping 7EA players with the skills needed to enter the next stage of their development.

He added: “The Futures Elite stage is the final step of our education program here at 7 Elite Academy, but not the last time players will learn from our soccer curriculum.

“We are determined to make sure that everyone who passes through the 7EA system is able to call on our advice, knowledge and friendship in the future. They will remain good friends of ours.

“We have access to the finest training facilities, experienced and professional coaching staff, and an academy structure that also includes opportunities to play soccer overseas.

“These are all great reasons to attend tryouts and benefit from our passion for youth soccer.”

There is no charge for current 7 Elite Academy players to take part in tryouts, while others will be charged $10 ($20 if paying on the day) which includes an exclusive tryout jersey.

Age brackets will range from under-9 to under-18, although there will also be sample training sessions for Pre-Academy players in the 2012-2015 birth years

Players are encouraged to attend all days of tryouts for their location and age group.  To aid in an efficient check-in process at the try-outs, all players are encouraged to pre-register.

On site same day registration is $20 dollars.
