7 Elite Academy is looking forward to a record-breaking final week of tryouts after hundreds of newcomers registered over the Memorial Day weekend.

The majority of those players have signed up from clubs outside of 7EA, as youngsters gear up for a busy summer of tournaments and league play.

The organization will be running trials across central and northern Utah this week, bringing to a close three weeks of heavily-subscribed sessions.

Coaching staff at 7 Elite Academy have been recruited from across the professional game in Europe, including the English Premier League.

They form successful partnerships with the finest coaches in Utah to offer players a key insight into the top level of soccer.

Daren Woolstenhume, General Manager at 7 Elite Academy, believes those professional standards have helped to prompt a last-minute rush for tryouts places.

He said: “It has been a great few weeks of tryouts already, with every single player putting in a great show of effort for our coaches.

“And the fact that we had so many youngsters sign up from other clubs shows that word is continuing to spread about our professional coaching and playing systems. This will be our biggest-ever final week of tryouts.

“But I should also pay tribute to the backroom staff here at 7 Elite Academy, who have worked tirelessly to register players on time and make them feel welcome.

“Our staff have performed brilliantly and shown how teamwork can make a huge difference to the success of any sporting organization, both on and off the pitch.”

The last year has seen 7 Elite Academy hold a series of high-profile coaching masterclasses for its players, including sessions with English Premier League star James Milner.

And just a few days ago, four girls from 7EA were given the chance to train at an English Premier League Academy this summer, with further events planned over coming months.

Woolstenhume added: “We plan out a specific training and development program for every single youngster who decides to joins us. That is one of our biggest priorities.

“Our curriculum of learning extends far beyond a player's time with us and helps them to continue developing as they move into college or professional soccer.

“We have outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities, meaning players are less likely to miss out on training sessions, regardless of the weather.

“In the next year or so, we will be opening a brand-new 45-acre training base in southern Utah, with plans in place for a similar facility in northern Utah.

“This is a very exciting time for everyone here at 7 Elite Academy and I am delighted to see so many new and existing players join our tryouts.”

7 Elite Academy tryouts run until May 31st and there is no charge for current 7 Elite Academy players to take part, while others will be charged $10 ($20 if paying on the day) which includes an exclusive tryout jersey.

Age brackets will range from under-9 to under-18, although there will also be sample training sessions for Pre-Academy players in the 2012-2015 birth years.

Players are encouraged to attend all days of tryouts for their location and age group.  To aid in an efficient check-in process at the try-outs, all players are encouraged to pre-register.

On site same day registration is $20 dollars.
