7 Elite Academy has expanded its backing of football in the United Kingdom by sponsoring leading semi-professional outfit AFC Liverpool.

The youth football organisation runs hundreds of teams in the United States, Africa and the UK, alongside close links with a number of clubs in Australia.

AFC Liverpool – full name Affordable Football Club Liverpool – was formed in 2008 by supporters who were disillusioned by the cost of attending Premier League matches.

The 7EA logo will appear on AFC Liverpool shirt sleeves throughout the upcoming North West Counties League season, as part of a campaign to support semi-professional football.

Wayne Scholes, Chief Executive of 7 Elite Academy, said: “I am delighted to give our backing to AFC Liverpool, so they can continue to compete and fly the flag for affordable football in the UK.

“It is important for clubs like this to give supporters the opportunity to watch football at an affordable level. Real fans have been priced out of the game for too long and AFC Liverpool are reversing that trend.

“7 Elite Academy works hard with young people across the world and brings a professional approach to grassroots football. That is why we are working with a high-profile club in the North West Counties League that shares our values of loyalty, honour, and community, all too often forgotten in this 'money first' football world.

“I can't wait for the new season to start and for our logo to be seen by thousands of football supporters across the region. It will be a very proud moment for us all.”

Over the last decade, 7EA has gained international recognition for training programmes that are developed and delivered by professional coaches from the sport’s top leagues.

A year of expansion for the organisation has seen players take part in youth tournaments across the world, alongside the creation of academies in East Africa and the United Kingdom.

Chris Stirrup, Chairman of AFC Liverpool, said: “Our club is always happy to work alongside professional organisations like 7 Elite Academy to promote affordable football for everyone.

“Semi-professional football is absolutely vital to the future growth of the game, both at senior level but also for young people who aspire to enjoy a successful playing or coaching career.

“The support of 7 Elite Academy is important, because it allows us to continue offering supporters the chance to enjoy the game they love, but at a price that won't break the bank.”
