Youth soccer players in Utah and Nevada have been challenged to test themselves against players from across the world at the 2020 7 Elite Academy International Tournament.

Hundreds of soccer-mad youngsters from the United Kingdom, Africa and throughout the United States will descend on St. George and Mesquite for the popular competition from February 6th to 8th.

A spectacular program of events has been organised to take place throughout the tournament, including DJs at all locations, food, and a Pre-Academy jamboree for younger players.

And with an experienced pool of out-of-state officials set to take charge of games, the 2020 event is expected to beat the record number of entries set during the 2019 tournament.

Wayne Scholes, Chief Executive of 7 Elite Academy, said: “The depth of international talent already registered for the 2020 tournament is truly astounding and I can't wait for the games to start.

“Youngsters across the world have been saving hard and making sure they can travel to our competition and have the experience of their lives while playing quality soccer.

“We have arranged a full programme of events for players, parents and officials - both on and off the field - so both locations with have a fantastic party atmosphere.

“Teams from across Utah are also supporting the event in big numbers, so this will be an opportunity for local players to challenge themselves against some great teams.

“This is the fastest-growing tournament in the region and I am so proud of our staff for making that happen.

“Clubs from across Colorado, Washington State, Idaho and Club America are also set to take part and with places limited, we are warning clubs to register as soon as possible.”

The three-day tournament will take place in St. George and Mesquite, including a Pre-Academy jamboree for younger players on 8th February in St. George.

The expansion into Nevada was made to take advantage of fantastic new pitches in Mesquite, while all games will now feature a penalty shootout.

“It is exciting that with just under two months still to go, registration numbers are on a par with last year, which was our busiest ever tournament.
