7EA coach Alejandro nets position at professional club

7 Elite Academy is pleased to report that 7 Elite Academy coach Alejandro Caparelli has been offered a role with Major League Soccer expansion organization Sacramento Republic.

Caparelli, who has been working with the 7 Elite Academy 05 Boys, 06 Boys and 06 Boys teams, will join the California-based organisation as Assistant Coach and Equipment Manager.

Sacramento Republic currently play in the fully-professional USL Championship, but are set to become an MLS team in 2022.

7 Elite Academy Director Anthony Godfrey said: “I want to thank Alex for his contribution towards 7 Elite Academy and I sincerely wish him the very best of luck at Sacramento Republic.

“Alex is a very likeable, honest and a committed character that had a really positive effect on his players both on and off the pitch.

“We are excited to announce that David Mayer, Nico Serolini and Luis Sanes will take over these teams and continue to develop the good work Alejandro has currently produced.”

The Argentine was offered the role after his development work with young people at 7 Elite Academy was spotted by scouts from Sacramento.

He said: “I am very excited to be offered this role, but I must thank everyone at 7 Elite Academy for the opportunity develop my skills with some fantastic staff and young people.

“I couldn't ask for a more supportive group of people than those I have worked with at 7 Elite Academy. The entire organisation is geared towards maximising the potential of staff and players.

“I am looking forward to working with Sacramento Republic, but I will always have fond memories of the people I worked with at 7 Elite Academy.”

Wayne Scholes, Chief Executive at 7 Elite Academy, added: “This is a wonderful opportunity for Alejandro to develop his career after a very successful period here at 7 Elite Academy.

“We are delighted that his work with our players has been noticed and recognised by a fully-professional team that is set to expand into MLS.

“His achievements serve as a reminder that anyone at 7 Elite Academy, from players to coaches, can benefit from the opportunities we offer.

“Our curriculum at 7 Elite Academy is based around developing not only our players, but our coaches too, so this is a really great endorsement of our coaching curriculum and development.
