7 Elite Academy youngsters across the world have completed a second week of the Home Technical Program – and activity is set to ramp up with expert insight from leading names in football.

Players in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa were sent a second program of training sessions to help their development during the current Covid-19 restrictions.

That program will continue throughout the pandemic with further innovations set to follow, featuring high-profile players from across football.

Anthony Godfrey, Global Technical Director at 7 Elite Academy, is delighted with the response from players so far.

He said: “This situation is completely unprecedented for us all and although the priority is to keep ourselves safe and follow local restrictions, there is an opportunity to try new things.

“Every young person within our academy has worked hard over the last few weeks to follow our Home Technical Program, which is proving to be a great tool for continuing development.

“This is just one way that 7 Elite Academy is working to provide football players and coaches with a unique perspective on the professional game.

“But we don't want to stand still and we want to make the most of this unique time. That is why we've recruited some leading players and coaches to work with over the coming weeks and months.

“We will release further details about these exciting new sessions in the next few days.

“They will be an opportunity for our young people to connect directly with people who have coached and played alongside the very best players in the world.

“Personally, I cannot wait to get back onto the pitch with our players and continue the remarkable work that has seen them achieve so much, both within football and elsewhere in their lives.

“The working relationship between players and their 7 Elite Academy coaches has been stronger than ever during this crisis and is absolutely key to making the Home Technical Program work.

“We are in contact with our players every week, giving them the support needed in any way we can. That support and advice will continue as we move forward together.”
