7 Elite Academy youngsters and coaches across the world have been thanked for their hard work, both in and out of football, over the last six weeks of training sessions.

The academy, which runs teams for hundreds of players in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa, has continued coaching during the Covid-19 pandemic with a weekly series of remote classes.

These have included specific training instructions sent to every youngster, regular team sessions via Zoom, one-to-one review sessions and webinars with universities for older players.

The 7 Elite Academy Global Masterclass sessions have also drawn a global audience, with attendees including Inter Miami star Wil Trapp and former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock.

And with local restrictions set to continue, players and coaching staff have all played their part.

Anthony Godfrey, Global Technical Director at 7 Elite Academy, said: “I just want to thank our players, parents and coaching staff for everything they have done over the last six weeks.

“The players have worked incredibly hard with our Home Technical Program and they will continue to reap the rewards when we return to training.

“Our coaches have been holding virtual coaching meetings each week and I am so thankful to them for challenging players, both in and out of football.

“Of course, following local restrictions and staying safe is the overall priority for every single player, parent and staff member at 7 Elite Academy. That is so important.

“But this situation has given us the opportunity more than ever to get to know our players even more and find out what other extraordinary talents they have.

“We will continue to provide as much as we can and continue to build stronger relationships with our players each week.”
