7 Elite Academy is thrilled to join forces with West Jordan Youth Soccer to run Pre-Academy session for hundreds of new players from next season.

The exciting new partnership will see players from WJYS train with 7 Elite Academy’s pre-academy coaches at weekly sessions to be held across the city.

7 Elite Academy’s proven Pre-Academy and player development program introduces young people to soccer in a fun and safe environment. Coaches are USSF and UEFA qualified.

Based in Salt Lake City, it runs coaching and education programs for thousands of youngsters across the United States, Africa and Europe.

West Jordan Youth Soccer provides recreational soccer to youngsters in West Jordan and surrounding areas, teaching teamwork, leadership & sportsmanship.

Matt Brown, 7 Elite Pre-Academy Manager, said: “It is so exciting that we now have an opportunity to work with even more young people from West Jordan Youth Soccer.

“We already have some fantastic players in our Pre-Academy program in Salt Lake City and Saint George, so we know how to provide sessions that offer an all-round introduction to soccer.

“It is important that when young people first join a soccer program, they enjoy themselves and crucially, fall in love with the game. That is what we focus on at every single session.

“From that, youngsters can then make the decision for themselves on whether to play at different level or simply to continue enjoying being part of a sporting family.”

Pre-Academy players will receive a 7 Elite Academy kit package and form teams to play in the popular West Jordan Rec program.

Throughout the summer, 7 Elite Academy will also hold weekly training sessions for youngsters in the 7-12 age brackets.

There will also be a series of Fall and Spring training clinics with other highly qualified coaches from the 7 Elite Academy program.

Colton Spencer, President at West Jordan Youth Soccer said: “This is a fantastic partnership that will cement high-quality soccer coaching for younger players in West Jordan.

“We all know that getting the right introduction to soccer is crucial if young people are to get the most enjoyment from their time playing the beautiful game.

“By partnering with 7 Elite Academy, we can ensure players get the best start available and have opportunities to progress within soccer and sport in general.”

David Mayer, Head of Foundation Phase at 7 Elite Academy, said: “We have always said that co-operation across the youth soccer community is key to providing the best outcome for young people.

“This is just one way that we are working with other organizations to benefit players of all ages. It is an exciting time for youth soccer in Utah and we want everyone to share in that.

“Our summer ‘pay to play’ sessions will allow us to plant seeds of that love for soccer in an informal environment, ahead of the Fall Pre-Academy program.

“We will also provide high quality coach education workshops throughout the year and offer opportunities to gain new qualifications. That way, even more young people will develop.”
