7 Elite Academy held a community tournament in Tanzania to raise awareness of football coaching and raise funds for a players’ safari to Ngorongoro National Park.
Coaching staff from the academy staged a competition for youngsters from across Dar es Salaam, as well as presentations about opportunities for players in the UK and USA.
The event coincided with the end of school holidays in Tanzania, and included plans for academy players and staff to travel to Ngorongoro National Park at the end of this year.
7 Elite Academy Tanzania Head Coach, Thomas Maurice, said: “We wanted to hold an event that would bring the community together and introduce even more people to our academy.
“We work with hundreds of players on a weekly basis in Dar es Salaam. They all benefit from our coaching program that has been developed by 7 Elite Academy in the United States and Europe.
“Those global links with professional clubs and colleges are creating opportunities in football and education that I want our players to take advantage of.
“The safari to Ngorongoro National Park later this year is a fantastic chance for our players. As well as the safari itself, they’ll learn important lessons during the fundraising process.”
