7 Elite Academy Tournament - REGISTRATION LAUNCH

By James Shaw, 08/19/21, 12:15AM MDT

7 Elite Academy will be aiming to break even more records at the 7 Elite Academy International Tournament in 2022. The popular youth soccer event, which takes place on February 3rd, 4th and 5th, regularly attracts teams from across the United States and Europe.

Players from Liverpool made a big impression when they won their bracket at the 2020 competition and will have the opportunity to return next year.

The 2021 tournament saw a record 198 teams battle it out in Southern Utah – and organizers are aiming to improve on that figure in Saint George, Washington City and Mesquite in 2022.

Daren Woolstehulme, CEO of 7 Elite Academy, said: “We have been building our tournament for a number of years and it is now a flagship event in the youth soccer calendar.

“But we can’t stand still in terms of organization, which is why we have looked at every single aspect of the tournament with an aim to improve.

“We will be launching brand new entertainment for everyone who attends and making the competition an all-day family destination.

“The team of staff here are determined to see even more young people and their families see what we have to offer at our 2022 tournament.”

International teams will once again have the chance to travel to Utah for the event, including UK college and semi-professional players.

There will also be a Pre-Academy event for younger players, after the overwhelming popularity of past events.

Anthony Godfrey, President of 7 Elite Academy, said: “The 7 Elite Academy International Tournament offers world-class opportunities both in soccer and life in general.

“It is about giving young people the chance to work hard, have fantastic life experiences and meet college recruiters in a competitive environment.

“We have designed a program of events that will provide players with those opportunities, while creating a highly memorable tournament.

“The feedback we got this year was overwhelmingly positive and we want even more people to enjoy those experiences in 2022.”

Registration is now open, with teams urged to book their tournament slot – early bird discounts are available.

Nick Nield, 7 Elite Academy International Tournament Director, added: “We are so excited to launch registration for our next big event.

“The support of the Utah youth soccer community for our tournament has always been fantastic and we are grateful for that backing in 2022.

“We have already had lots of enquiries from teams wanting to register, so it looks like next year will be another record-breaker.

“There is no doubt that when we kick-off for the tournament in 2022, it will be a very special competition for everyone involved.”
