Daren Woolstenhulme moves into new role

Daren Woolstenhulme is to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at 7 Elite Academy and move to an exciting new role in youth sports.

The experienced soccer administrator has been instrumental in the expansion of 7 Elite Academy across the world

And his role in expanding the annual 7 Elite Academy International Tournament saw it achieve record-breaking numbers of attendees last year

7 Elite Academy Director Anthony Godfrey will now continue take on a more global role including implementing the growth support framework in the U.S, following the success of the pathway program in the UK.

Wayne Scholes, Chairman of 7 Elite Academy, said: “Daren’s input has been invaluable and he has given us a solid base for future expansion.

“He has a remarkable dedication to youth soccer in Utah, which will serve him well in his exciting new role.

“Daren will remain a good friend of ours and will be working closely with us in the future.

“I am looking forward to a bright future for our academy and young people in the United States, United Kingdom and Africa.

“Further expansion is scheduled in the next few months, as we build on our success and provide even more opportunities for development and education.”

7 Elite Academy has seen continued growth during Daren’s time with the organization, including new teams and educational facilities in Africa and the United Kingdom.

The annual 7 Elite Academy International Tournament attracted a record-breaking entry list in 2021 and now regularly features teams from across the world.

Daren, who leaves on October 1st, said: “I have enjoyed every single minute of my time with 7 Elite Academy, but I feel now is the right time for me to focus on a new role.

“I am proud of the work we have done as a team in Utah, Africa and the United Kingdom, and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support.

“I know Anthony and the rest of the team will continue their fantastic efforts to lift standards for youth soccer across the world. It is an exciting time for us all.”
