7 Elite Pre-Academy returns to action this week, with hundreds of youngsters  across Utah taking their first steps into a career in soccer.

Pre-Academy sessions introduce younger players to the game in a fun and supportive environment with UEFA, FA and USSF A-Licensed coaches.

Last season saw almost 100 players from Pre-Academy graduate to the main 7 Elite Academy program, creating ten new teams.

Players in the 2015 to 2018 age brackets in Salt Lake City and Saint George will take to the field, with new sessions due to start in the Davis/Weber region.

Further sessions for players in the 2013 and 2014 brackets will also take place in Salt Lake City.

7 Elite Pre-Academy Manager, Matt Brown, said: “I can’t wait for Pre-Academy. We have got a brilliant team of coaches and staff in Salt Lake City, Saint George and the Davis/Weber region.

“Through a carefully designed coaching plan that places the emphasis on fun and support, we are giving younger players in Utah a unique introduction to soccer.

“The Pre-Academy program has been developed over the last five years to create a true love of soccer. That is reflected in in huge numbers of players who joined our main academy last season.”

Sessions are run in four cycles during summer, fall, winter and spring, and in Salt Lake City include recreational play with West Jordan Youth Soccer.

Stuart Dewey, 7 Elite Academy Head of Coaching in Souther Utah, said: “The return of Pre-Academy is a big part of our calendar and signals the start of a new season for us all.

“It is exciting because it means we see new youngsters come into our program, who we can then help to make new friends, develop confidence and ultimately love soccer.

“Last season was a brilliant achievement for the young people who joined us and then went on the join the main 7 Elite Academy program. They made us all very proud.”
