7 Elite Academy will offer thousands of youngsters the chance to train abroad and access college scholarship opportunities when tryouts get under way later this year.

The expanding youth soccer organisation, which runs academies across Utah, as well as Liverpool in the UK and East Africa, will recruit players from May 15th through to June 2nd.

Youngsters who join 7 Elite Academy work with UEFA, USSF and English FA qualified coaches every week, following a global training plan designed to maximise the potential in every player.

Players get regular guidance in the college application process, including travel to showcase events in the United States and abroad, alongside close working links with leading professional clubs.

Tryouts will take place in Saint George from May 15th to May 19th (Sullivan Soccer Park) before moving to Salt Lake City from May 22nd to June 2nd (West Jordan Soccer Complex).

Age groups range from Pre-Academy through to Under-19.

Wayne Scholes, Chairman of 7 Elite Academy, is looking forward to seeing even more young people benefit from the organisation’s elite development environment.

He said: “We are seeing a rapid expansion of young people who want to train with us and benefit from our unique links with colleges and professional soccer clubs across the world.

“Our staff have worked with the best college players in the United States and are ready to pass on that experience. Those links are crucial to maximising the potential of young people at 7 Elite Academy.

“Our SABA program is specifically designed for college recruitment and scholarships, while we have other programs that offer study abroad and access to professional and semi-professional clubs in Liverpool.

“The 7 Elite Academy International Tournament attracted a record 360 teams to Utah and Nevada last month, which shows the expanding interest we are continually generating in youth soccer.”

7 Elite Academy has a wide-ranging community access program that runs throughout the year in Saint George and Salt Lake City, alongside similar initiatives in the UK.

That program regularly gives youngsters across the community in Utah an opportunity to play soccer thanks to help with fees, with many going on to access college scholarships.

Anthony Godfrey, 7 Elite Academy Director, said: “Our entire program is based on our ETHICS of Excellence, Tenacity, Honor, Innovation, Community and Sacrifice.

“That means our young people not only train with some of the best qualified coaches, not just in Utah, but in the United States, but they can also use soccer to help the wider community here in Utah.

“The opportunities we offer are unique in developing the ability of every young person to reach their potential in soccer, education and the local community.

“Those initiatives also include investment in our coaching staff, with access to the best USSF coaching courses and training plans. Those benefits ultimately help our players to develop.

“That is why we’re looking forward to meeting even more players at tryouts this year. We want to give as many young people as possible the chance to play soccer and enjoy college scholarship opportunities.”
