7 Elite Academy tryouts get under way in St George on Monday - and it could be the biggest year yet for players who sign up.

The expanding youth soccer academy runs teams for thousands of young people across Utah, the United Kingdom and Africa.

Players train every week with USSF, UEFA and English FA qualified staff at some of the best-kept fields and facilities in the region.

Youngsters also get regular opportunities to work with local communities and charities, as part of a program of all-round personal development.

For older players, there is the chance to play in the best college showcase tournaments and travel abroad to train and play with professional clubs.

7 Elite Academy has also signed up to play in the prestigious Junior Premier League at a series of events throughout the year.

Anthony Godfrey, 7 Elite Academy Global Technical Director, is looking forward to seeing even more players benefit from life-changing opportunities.

He said: “It has been another year of expansion for our teams and facilities in Utah, and players can only benefit from that.

“We have recruited more highly qualified coaches in St George and Salt Lake City, which will have a positive effect on prospects for our players.

“Our staff work with the best coaching development tools available and are dedicated to following our global player development curriculum.

“We have strengthened our links with professional soccer clubs and colleges in the UK, which is great news for young people who join us at tryouts.”

Tryout sessions start in St George on Monday 15th and run until May 18th, before moving north to Salt Lake City from May 22nd.

There will also be tryouts in Davis/Weber and Utah County later this month, running until the start of June.

7 Elite Academy’s links with leading clubs in Utah and the UK offer a unique range of opportunities for young people.

Godfrey added: “We have had more players than ever make verbal commitments this year, thanks to our college preparation program.

“This includes regular participation in college showcase events, player highlight reels and information, and assistance with applications.

“Our academy in the UK is continually expanding, which in turn has created opportunities to train and even coach at our facilities in Liverpool.

“This has resulted in youngsters playing for AFC Liverpool in the FA Youth Cup, while others travelled to South Africa to work with young people.

“We have developed close working links with soccer colleges in the UK, which we are specifically aiming at players from Utah.”
