7 Elite Academy coach - and National Championship winner - Ben Cooper has sent a good luck message to the club’s 05 Boys South ahead of their trip to Kansas for the National President’s Cup next week.

The St George youngsters travel to Wichita following an encouraging Regional Presidents Cup campaign, where they won all three of their group games before a narrow defeat in the final.

Ben was a member of the 01 Boys South team that won the national title for 7 Elite Academy in 2018, and has since become a coach for the 05 Boys, 2007 Girls North, 2010 Boys teams.

And he is confident the Class of 2023 can achieve similar success: “I am ecstatic to see you all here going to nationals. 

“I have seen and felt how hard you all are willing to work in past years to get to this point. 

“You guys have the best coach possible in Stuart Dewey to lead you there and the players have all the skill and passion necessary to compete for this title. 

“Stay present and enjoy your time with the team, I am looking forward to hear about that first result!”

The action kicks off at Stryker Sports Complex on Friday for group play next week, before the semi-finals and finals on Monday and Tuesday.
