TRYOUTS: Don't miss your chance to play for one of the fastest-growing youth soccer organisations in Utah...

Youngsters can join 'an inspiring football player development journey' at the Seven Elite Academy tryouts in Utah this week.

The organization has been renamed with backing from Red Slopes Soccer, following 18 months of growth that saw over 1,000 youngsters join its ranks.

Players are gathering in various locations and on various dates across Utah, with team places available for boys and girls in the under-9 to under-18 age groups.

Anthony Godfrey, Academy Director of Seven Elite Academy, said: “Tryouts are always a great way of bringing young players together and giving them the opportunity to find a club that will give them a unique and inspiring football player development journey with a strong emphasis in maximizing each player's potential on and off the pitch.

“We as an academy want to support the upbringing of each child. We want our players who are part of this academy to have successful careers in life, whether it's in football or not. Teaching them valuable life skills, with an insight into the 24-hour athlete and giving them the opportunity to represent an organisation that cares about the players best interests, will give them the platform to excel.

“Our coaching prinicples and playing curriculum are designed and proven to maximize the development of every single individual who represent us.

“Player development can't be achieved overnight, but our curriculum does support the players in improving their individual skill sets, understanding of the game, player positioning profiling, physical mechanic movements, mental strength, player ownership, giving them short term player reviews and so much more.

“It will be great to see many existing players wanting to compete for their own shirt again for next season, but it will be very pleasing to see new faces wanting to be part of something special. We have a set of core values that will encourage and reward players who arrive at tryouts ready to work hard. It is going to be a very exciting week.”

Tryouts are taking place in Salt Lake City, St. George and Ogden, as the Academy looks to continue a year that saw its teams win tournaments in Nevada and Utah.

A number of Seven Elite Academy Utah sides also will play at US Regionals in Hawaii and Utah next month.

Wayne Scholes, CEO of Seven Elite Academy, said: “Everyone involved with Seven Elite Academy is excited for the future, as we look to build on a fantastic first 18 months of operations.

“This week’s tryouts will be an opportunity to play for one of the most exciting and fastest-growing youth soccer organizations in the US. Our staff are committed to bringing opportunity to every single player.

“This is the start of an exciting new chapter for youth soccer in Utah. I want as many players as possible to sample the unique training methods we have here at Seven Elite Academy.”
