The 7 Elite Academy tournament will feature teams from as far afield as Wyoming and Colorado, following another upsurge in registrations.

Clubs based in Rock Springs and Durango will join a line-up of teams from across Utah for the three-day competition in St George on January 31st.

Registrations for the tournament have already reached the number from last year’s event – and with six weeks still to go, interest continues to spread to neighboring states.

Daren Woolstenhume, General Manager at 7 Elite Academy, said: “It has been a fantastic few weeks for the tournament, especially with so many new teams coming on board.

“To have clubs from Wyoming and Colorado sign up is something of a feather in our caps and shows how far word is spreading about the tournament and 7 Elite Academy as a whole.

“We have also received interest from other teams outside of Utah, so it looks like we’ll have a great mix of different playing styles.

“The whole organizing committee is working hard to make sure every single player, coach and parent has a fantastic few days here in Utah at the start of the new year.”

Matches will be played at Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park and Little Valley Fields, with a dedicated finals day to be held on February 2nd.

Registration costs for the tournament will be $545 for teams aged under-9 to under-12 and $595 for teams aged under-13 to under-19. The registration deadline is January 15th, 2019.
