7 Elite Academy’s school program has been given the thumbs-up by staff and students at Terra Linda Elementary in West Jordan.

7EA Coaches Matt Brown and Hector Cortes have developed an on-site soccer clinic for the 413-pupil school, including many Utah Core Standard PE skills.

The program has given youngsters the opportunity to learn through intense two-week soccer courses, as well as continuous coaching classes.

Karen Gorringe, Principal at Terra Linda Elementary, said: “We have all appreciated the amazing contribution that 7 Elite Academy has given to our school. This business partnership has extended way beyond our wildest dreams.

“Our students have increased their soccer skills and the games we observe in recess are greatly enriched due to the skills that Matt and Hector taught them.

“The students, teachers and staff members truly look forward to the two weeks of training and many other times that Matt, Hector and 7 Elite Academy have provided. Their character and program have impacted our school greatly!”

7 Elite Academy staff also arranged for new soccer goals to be delivered to the school, as well as ongoing maintenance.

Youngsters from Terra Linda Elementary have also been given access to nearby 7EA’s indoor training facility, in case of emergencies.

Matt Brown, 7 Elite Academy Schools Program Manager, said: “The staff and students at Terra Linda Elementary have been an absolute pleasure for Hector and I to work with, from the very first coaching sessions.

“The young people have been incredibly receptive in every course and taken on board the lessons we have been looking to teach them. During our schools program sessions, we look to develop good young players on the pitch, but also good young people off the pitch. Staff have been supportive in every aspect of our program.

“We’ve also been delighted to help the school secure new goals, as well giving them emergency access to our indoor training facility. Hector and I are both looking forward to returning to Terra Linda in the very near future.”

7 Elite Academy’s schools program is also set to deliver sessions to students at Eastlake Elementary in South Jordan from February 12th to February 22nd.

Matt and Hector will then take the 7EA Schools Program to Majestic Elementary in West Jordan from February 26th to February 28th.

Wayne Scholes, Chief Executive at 7 Elite Academy, said: “Matt and Hector are doing a fantastic job of developing the 7EA Schools Program in communities across Utah, while also forming some great partnerships.

“This work is giving us a template of really high-quality training clinics that we can then start to offer to youngsters further afield, both in Utah and across the country.”

“Our coaching staff have worked with some of the best soccer players in the world and we are keen to offer the benefits of our program to as many young people as possible.”
